Isla Chemistry Representative Candidate

Voting is open from September 21 – 23 at https://amsvoting.as.it.ubc.ca/

Our very own Isla wants to be your SUS Chemistry Representative! See what she has to say below:

HEY EVERYONE!
Hope you’re ready for some Chemistry puns, because I’m in my element

My name is Isla Wrightson and I’m currently in my second year studying chemistry. As you may have gathered, I’m running as the Chemistry Representative in this Fall’s SUS Elections!

I would love to have the opportunity to not only represent the Undergraduate Chemistry Society, but all of the amazing Chemistry Undergraduate students this year in the Science Undergraduate Society.

My goal is to try and have a wide array of faculty wide events for Chemistry Undergraduate students and to try and make this year as awesome as possible for science students in general. As the Chemistry Rep, my job would be to represent the Chemistry Department, so that our voices are heard and to work and communicate rigorously with both UCS and SUS in order to do just that. This year I believe we can have alkynes of fun!

Hopefully you find chemistry puns sodium funny too and vote for me to be your Chemistry Rep!

If you’re not in chemistry, please also take a look at all of the other Department Reps and be sure to vote for your favourite candidates!

Feel free to message me or send me an email (islawrightson@live.ca) if you have any questions, concerns, or just to say hi! ☺️

Want to hear more chemistry puns? Don’t worry, I’ll be telling you them… periodically.
