2021 UCS Elections
The new UCS executive team for the 2021/2022 academic school year will be elected during our UCS Spring Election. The UCS Spring Election will take place Monday, September 27th, from 8:00 to 9:00PM via Zoom. If you are a chemistry student and are interested in attending our election, please make sure you come prepared to listen and vote!
What Experience Do I need?
Candidates running for President, Vice-President or Treasurer should have at least 2 years experience in the UCS, no experience necessary for any other positions. All candidates will be required to attend our election on April 6th and give a speech as to why they are qualified for the position. Speeches will be limited to 1 minute, with exception to candidates running for President, Vice-President or Treasurer. These candidates will be limited to a 3-minute speech.
NOTE: If you are one of the candidates for our SUS Representative Candidate position, please note that you will have to run in the SUS fall elections. The candidate will have to nominate themselves and be successfully elected during the SUS elections in September. More information can be found here: https://sus.ubc.ca/elections/. Please note that the UCS cannot guarantee that the SUS Representative Candidate will be successfully elected in the SUS Fall Elections.
