Return Policy
- Only books or equipments that are NOT opened may be returned
- No returns on processed UCS memberships and SPC
- Defective merchandise may be returned by contacting chembooks@chem.ubc.ca

Frequently Asked Questions
- May I purchase a used Chemistry Integrated Resource Package (ChIRP) second hand?
- No. This year Chemistry 111 is unveiling a brand new ChIRP containing brand new material for the new curriculum. All chapters have been changed and/or rewritten compared to previous editions. Therefore no older version of the ChIRP will be accepted.
- May I purchase a used Chemistry 111/123 Lab Manual second hand?
- No. Due to the change in curriculum there are new labs added to Chem 111 this year. Also, there are pages within the lab manual that you must tear out and submit as part of your report, therefore you must have a new and complete version only.
- I’ve lost my book halfway through the semester, can I purchase another after the sale?
- Yes, simply email chembooks@chem.ubc.ca and make the request. A $5 retrieval fee may be applied to late purchases.
- The bookstore also sells lab coats and glasses, do I have to purchase them from Chemistry?
- No, you may purchase lab coats and safety glasses from other sources as long as they meet the lab safety specifications. The lab coats and glasses sold by chemistry are at a lower price than the bookstore. Also, by purchasing a chemistry lab coat, you know you are getting one that meets the safety requirements for the labs. These lab coats can be used in other science labs as well.
